• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Lee J. -- This story is a game of mental chess until a winner is crowned. : The book opens with Milton being held prisoner in the basement by his old Operating Group. In the last novel Milton was in Scotland and was too close to the base of operations of Group fifteen. He made a mistake and was taken into custody. John is waiting for a bullet to the head to end his career. But lucky for him an eccentric billionaire Tristan Huxley ,from his drinking days. Will only agree to extra security if Milton is part of the detail. Tristan is involved in a weapons deal between the Russians and the Indians. This deal has angered the Pakistanis terror group ISI. Who would like to shut it down, by capturing him for leverage. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2021 )

Happily he's given a job and a partner/minder. In fact his history catches up to him and he's actually been requested to protect someone he'd protected years previously, back when he drowned his unease with his job in booze and partying. • 3.0 out of 5 stars from Wingsgate -- Good read but get some help editing : Liked the action. Good pace but technically nonsense. The airplane changed from a 747 to 767 and back 4 times and I'm not finished reading. Just to get it straight, the 747 has a hump the 767 does not. The 767 is, as per storyline, built for approximately 200 passengers. The 747 meant for maybe 400. The 747 could fit a basketball court in it while the 767 could not. The few guests taken to the island would never have to leave someone behind in executive seating on either airplane. Hate to be a nitpicker but give someone from Boeing engineering or marketing a call next time you feel the urge to write about airplanes. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2021 )
• 5.0 out of 5 stars from dennis barron -- Bulletproof. Mark Dawson : John Milton has finally been detained or rather taken into custody by his old covert employer. He was tired of running and let his guard down. He expects it's the end of the road. He has created too many problems for them, a covert agency that handles problems M15 and M16 are unable too. Extreme prejudice.Surprisingly the new control offers him one last job and his slate wiped clean. He agrees to protect a man he once was assigned to protect. What he uncovers is the very brazen and utterly brutal forms of blackmail the man has used against very powerful and influential people. He now has a price on his head. What ensues is an extremely fast paced action packed thriller of mega proportions with a surprise ending. An excellent read!!! Enjoyed immensely!! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Kim Frank -- Another great John Milton book : This book is similar to Epstein, the rich guy who took girls and men to his islands and hotels and homes and abused them. And he was hung or killed in his cell in New York City. No one knows if he was killed or if he committed suicide. He was very rich why would he commit suicide? This book is extremely timely, it was a bit slow in the beginning as the characters were being built. I am very glad Mark Dawson saw fit to write about a rich billionaire abusing his wealth on young girls and men.. a great read and makes us all think about what the world is all about, and things that we don't know that are happening around the world. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from BlakWulf -- Another great Milton story : I've read all of Mr Dawson's books and loved each one. I could tell you how good the writing is - but you know that already. They are great reads, great characters and Mr Dawson is a master storyteller for fast-paced thrillers. This one though - this book is different. I'm not going to give spoilers, but I would say for some more sensitive readers, it could be a difficult storyline to deal with, but it's relevant, powerful and full of emotion. After what for me were a couple of not so good instalments Milton was back as good as ever in Never Let Me Down Again and again he’s his awesome self in Bulletproof. But not so. If anything the books get better with each one published. Mark Dawson is a master storyteller, creating stories with more twists and turns than a roller coaster. No more so than bulletproof which sees the captured John Milton back working for group fifteen. A billionaire deal maker becomes the target of enemy agents and Milton is assigned to protect him. But along the way Milton learns some things about the person he’s protecting which sees him take justice into his own hands. Well worth a read. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 4, 2021 )
